There is a somewhat positive update on the 220 bus route in relation to the proposed changes. A lot of residents contacted the NTA on this over the past few months.
The update we have is:
the NTA have re-considered the proposed changes to bus services resulting in reduced frequency and taking out a direct link to Ballincollig.
They have now recognised the problem and have provided alternatives – keeping the direct link from Grange Manor to the village albeit a reduced frequency of 3 per hour.
They have also confirmed the advised changes won’t take place till 2026.
The question still to be asked is why a public bus route would prioritise EMC (a private company) over Grange Manor. Residents want the new Route 1 to serve Grange Manor fully as per the new schedule, which is every 10 minutes.
