Annual Grass Cutting Fee

Unfortunately 2023 saw only 65% of houses contribute to the grass cutting fund for the estate. That is 174 houses out of a total of 266. This is the lowest amount we have seen since this group started helping in 2016.

This has an impact. Firstly, it makes it much harder to do any improvement works in the estate. Also, it makes finances much tighter at a time when prices of grass cutting keeps increasing. The landscapers have kept the same overall cost as last year but we have had to reduce the number of cuts. You will have noticed a small delay to the start of cutting this year.

Please help by talking to your neighbours and encouraging everyone to contribute!

2024

Annual fees for 2024 grass cutting are being collected. Again, it would be helpful if everyone paid electronically. Fees remain the same amount this year.

Please spread the word in your street, as we do not have email or other contact details for everyone.

Estate improvements this year

Last year with help from residents it was possible to arrange:

  • improving the shrub bed at Manor Lawn (first entrance)
  • adding trees and shrubs to both entrances
  • planting more trees on green areas

Some ideas from residents who have been in touch so far include

  • more work on shrub beds
  • additional shrubs along entrances

If you have any ideas for your street or green, please do get in touch.  Also, for these projects to be completed, we do need more help!

National Spring Clean 2024

Some residents have registered for the National Spring Clean 2024 which gives estates some bags and gloves to help with an annual clean up. Please contact chair@grangemanor.ie if you or your street is interested!

Area Updates

A group of residents have been working with the council on a plan to implement safe crossing on Grange Road near the bus stops, by Essentra and on the other side of the footbridge.

Also, good to hear from the Council that the footpath to Cuddihys is planned to be finished this year, closing the gap that currently exists.

See the news section on this website for some recent local news and things being planned in Grange Manor and the area in general.
