Ruden Homes have lodged a “Taking in Charge” application with Cork County Council for the Grange Manor estate.
When a local authority takes a development in charge, this means that it takes responsibility for the maintenance of all roads, footpaths, water mains, drainage services, public lighting etc. When a residential development is completed in accordance with the planning permission, the developer may make a written request to the Planning Department to have the estate taken in charge.
The residents will be submitting a snag list of issues to the Council, asking that they be addressed before the estate is taken in charge by the Council.
However, it would be a great help and support to our efforts on your behalf, if you can also please raise any issue in the estate/on your street with the Council, by sending them an email to planninginfo@corkcoco.ie . An accompanying photograph of the issue(s) you want addressed, can be very useful to illustrate it.
