Some residents have been in touch with Cork County Council and Transport Infrastructure Ireland and thankfully there has been some work completed in the area near the footbridge.
Footpaths were cleared, kerbs weeded and the footbridge got a bit of a clean.
It is hoped that grass overgrowing the footpath by the bus stop near Essentra will be removed soon also.
